THE OLD TOWN

This tour concentrates on the main historic and architectural attractions of the Old Town and highlights the points needed to understand the evolution of San Sebastián from the Middle Ages to the present day.

After a stroll through the one-time walled city, we will leave the beaten track and hike up Mount Urgull, a silent witness of the past, where remnants of ancient battles can still be seen. Its summit, crowned by an old fort, offers great views over Kontxa Bay, the Paseo Nuevo, the Kursaal cubes and the breakwater that waves lash in winter.

Our next stop will be San Telmo museum. A private guided tour of this former Dominican monastery from the 16th century, which houses great mural paintings and fine arts, archaeological, and ethnographic collections, will give you an accurate idea about Basque culture.

We will end the tour in style by a pintxo tasting experience in the Old Town.
